Oh, how everyone has fallen in love with Scandinavian interiors. Including me. Rather than contrasting bold colors and prints, I prefer working with different materials, shapes and shades. Especially in a space as peaceful as a bedroom.
What is important to you when it comes to your bedroom interior? For me a bedroom needs to be light, uncluttered and refreshing. After all, I come here to unwind and rest. Scandinavian interiors are my number one inspiration. So what makes these bedrooms so heavenly?
White
White is probably the most refreshing color there is. It's the perfect base for a clean interior. Not only does it make the space look bigger and lighter, it's also a good color for walls and floors when you like switching up your interior with accessories every once in a while.
Linen
The slightly messy look of linen forms a beautiful contrast with a clean interior. White sheets are always a winner, but don't be afraid to play with different shades of grey and beige.
Prints
Prints are the perfect decoration on a white wall. Drawings and photographs create a personal look, while graphic designs add a modern touch to the room. You don't necessarily have to put frames up on the wall, they look beautiful standing on the floor or on a table. You can create a personal composition of frames in different sizes, or go for one print as an eye catcher. Also, try tape and clips instead of the classic black frame!
Raw elements
Raw elements like wood, concrete, leather and fur add character to the room. Sometimes the room already has characteristic features like a brick wall or wood beams in the ceiling. A sheepskin, leather chair or concrete bed stand can do the trick too!
I do not take credit for these images. All images found on Pinterest.
