Céline introduced us to the criss cross slides and the glove shoes, starting the ugly shoe trend that has now reached all high street brands. It took quite a long time before I began to feel this trend, but I can now safely say that I love my new granny shoes. So much, that I ordered them in black too.
Céline's glove shoe has a chunky block heel and a high wrinkled instep. The design is -still- a little too bold for me, so I was happy to find this toned down version in sand suede at H&M. They were sold out in black when I ordered these, but I managed to get my hands on a black pair eventually. I love wearing them with casual items such as frayed denim to create contrast, but they go with just about anything. And the best part, they are extremely comfortable. I'm sure I will wear these a lot this season!
